Showbiz XI Starring at Ludlow Town FC

For the opening of the Artificial Grass Pitch at Ludlow Town Football Club, the Club will be showcasing a Showbiz XI Football Match prior to the Official opening. The match will be attended by Sir Trevor Brooking (subject to confirmation) and Richard Scudamore , Chief Executive of the FA Premier League.

David Kelly and Paul Devlin, both ex-Premiership players have made themselves available for the Opening day Celebrations.

Work is on schedule for the 3G Ligaturf Artificial Grass Pitch which will open up opportunities for sports people of multi disciplines to play and train at the Club.

The state-of-the-art surface has achieved certification to FA standards for community use and also to FIFA 2 Star standards for competitive football up to World Cup level as well as lending itself to other sports including Rugby, Cricket, Golf and Hockey.

The Ligaturf pitch is available for hire by individuals, clubs, local community groups, schools, colleges, companies and other organisations throughout the region.

The Open Day will include demonstrations of Rugby, Golf and Cricket before the highlight of a Showbiz XI versus Ludlow Town Select XI Team.

It will be a fun day for all of the family to find out more about the surface and the numerous opportunities that it will present to Ludlow and the wider community.
